General Information on the Placements

Students are required to do an 8-12 week placement (domestic or abroad). We have contacts with placement hosts from the literature industry as well as with literary museums. Students doing a placement might think of doing it locally (e.g. Göttinger Literaturherbst, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht Göttingen), in Germany (e.g. Literaturhaus Magdeburg, Kurt Tucholsky Literaturmuseum in Rheinbeck) or in the UK (e.g. Dylan Thomas Boathouse Museum, Dove Cottage Grasmere, Charles Dickens Museum London). We help students get in touch with their potential placement host trying to ensure a great experience for our students as well as for our placement partner organisations.
