A06 - PCET-controlled Chemoselective Transformations of Renewable Feedstocks
The conversion of renewable feedstocks, the most abundant polymeric organic compounds on earth, demonstrates great potential. However, it is still an utmost challenge to selectively modify and convert them for targeted products. The conversion with the assistance of PCET provides a new potential. This methodology allows redox reactions with reduced energy input since proton and electron transfer are not separated. In this joint project, we are attempting to develop novel strategy for efficient and selective hydrolysis and conversion of renewable feedstocks via electrochemical PCET treatment.
