Theresa Kohl
studied Classical Philology and Egyptology & Coptology at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany.
Her Master Thesis in Egyptology – „Diener für die Ewigkeit. Die Uschebti-Sammlung im Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum, Hildesheim” – scientifically described and catalogued the significant shabti collection of the historical museum in Hildesheim.
Since April 2012 Theresa Kohl has been working as a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Egyptology & Coptology of the University of Göttingen with Prof. Dr. Heike Behlmer, director of the institute, and Prof. Dr. Tobias Georges (Courant Research Centre EDRIS: “Education and Religion”) as her supervisors. Her doctoral project has the title Religion und Bildung in den koptischen Klöstern Ägyptens. Untersuchungen zu den Begriffen für "lehren" und "lernen" in der koptischen Mönchsliteratur.
From September 2015 she is scientific coordinator of the Courant Research Centre for Education and Religion (CRC EDRIS).
