Innovative Paper Packaging Products for European SMEs Based on Functional Modification of Recovered Fibres
The aim of this EU project is to transfer various processes for modifying solid wood to the treatment of waste paper fibres. These fibres will then be used for corrugated cardboard production. The aim of the treatment is to increase strength and reduce moisture absorption. At the same time, the recyclability of the treated corrugated cardboard should not be significantly reduced. The treatments are first examined at laboratory level and will then be transferred to a pilot plant for paper production.
