Research Interests
Knowledge on the spatial distribution of plant diversity is crucial to ecology and key for its further exploration, sustainable use, and conservation. In my PhD, I will assess global taxonomic and phylogenetic patterns of alpha diversity, endemism and beta-diversity and explore the underlying roles of historical evolutionary and environmental processes compared to contemporary environmental factors in generating and maintaining the spatial variability of plant diversity across spatial scales.
