Opening Event

After weeks of planning, organisation, painting and furnishing, we were able to inaugurate the Urban Lab in the former pharmacy at Schildweg 1 on 06.06.2019. In a conversation with Sabine Hess (Centre for Global Migration Studies) Christiane Heimann (University of Hildesheim) and Maria Alexopoulou (University of Mannheim) gave exciting insights into how cities and municipalities could and can help to shape the immigration society in the past and present. Afterwards we enjoyed drinks, music and nice conversations in the Urban Lab. We couldn't have wished for a more successful start - many thanks to everyone who was there and worked so hard before!
