WELCOME TO THE STARTUPSPACE GÖTTINGEN
The premises of the StartupSpace are used together by the Transfer & Startup Hub of the University of Göttingen, the Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtentwicklung Göttingen mbH (GWG) and the SNIC Life Science Inkubator. The areas used by the Transfer & Startup Hub are open to students, graduates and employees of the University of Göttingen for the realization of their start-up projects.
As a founder or team in the pre-startup phase, you can use the coworking space of the StartupSpace and, subject to availability, individual offices free of charge. There are regular events on topics relevant to the start-up process, such as business model development or teamwork. You can also bring in your own wishes and we try to invite experts for this. You can network with other founders - either on-site at the StartupSpace or in virtual meetings and thus get into conversation with experienced founders from the region. You would like feedback and suggestions from successful founders? If possible, we will be happy to put you in touch with contacts from our mentor network If you want to create a prototype for your product idea first, you can apply for funding for this from our funds. For challenges that cannot be solved through our counseling, mentors or network, it is sometimes helpful to make use of professional coaching. You can also apply for funding for this. The infrastructure can be used free of charge around the clock and offers optimal conditions for founders. The university's start-up teams have access to offices, meeting rooms, coworking spaces and event space in the StartupSpace, and the Transfer & Startup Hub team supports the founders in personal meetings, workshops and events. After the start-up, the GWG and SNIC Incubator team is available as a point of contact. Networking opportunities with other founders, established startups and companies from the region also further liven up the location.
The ERDF project "Startup Spaces of the Transfer & Startup Hub University of Göttingen", which was launched in April 2024, provides founders with a total of 14 workspaces. The start-up spaces are intended to establish an interface of the start-up ecosystem between the region and the university and make a significant contribution to the start-up culture. With the focus on female entrepreneurship and intercultural/international founders, two target groups are also addressed in particular that are still underrepresented and will make the local start-up system more diverse. The ERDF project is co-financed by the European Union and the state of Lower Saxony.
