Research-based Course "Interdisciplinary urban research" (Summer 2022)
Abstract
From a global perspective, the city is the living space of the future. As a result of urbanization, two-thirds of all people will live in cities as early as 2050. From a social science perspective, the city is a large, dense and permanent settlement of socially heterogeneous individuals, as well as the intersection of several dynamic and unstable networks and flows of people, animals, money, things, ideas and technologies (Brenner et al. 2011). It thus forms an exciting field of research, which was investigated in the teaching research project "Interdisciplinary Urban Research" from anthropological, historical or aesthetic points of view.Output
The results of the interdisciplinary group research will be presented as a scholarly poster. The final posters are exhibited electronically (see below) and during November 2022 at the Oeconomicum. The written output will be published as an edited volume, which will be linked here shortly.
