Objective (Subject)AI-based analysis and modeling of succession and reforestation measures after large-scale disturbances for climate-adapted and digitized forest management (subproject in the joint project RECOVER)
ContentThe subproject aims to develop a basis for estimating the probability of establishment of tree regeneration and for modeling its mortality risk. Based on an average mortality rate derived from NW-FVA long-term study sites, the mortality model to be developed will reflect the effects of extreme weather and climate conditions. In addition to statistical modeling, the drought resistance of various tree species will also be analyzed from a plant physiology perspective.
