Johanna Pieper is a doctoral researcher in Political Science and Research Fellow at the GIGA Institute for Latin American Studies and the University of Hamburg. Her research focuses on child labor policies, social policy, gender-based violence, and interest groups, with a regional focus on Latin America, particularly Peru and Bolivia. She uses qualitative and comparative research methods to examine political processes, including policy change and enforcement.
