Catalogues – Research Resources
The OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is always up to date and is created from the database of the “Common Library Network” (GBV). If you only wish to search the online-catalogues of libraries belonging to the Theological Faculty, you can use the OPAC-Faculty of Theology .
In addition to the OPAC-Theology, you can also search the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK) of the State and University Library of Lower Saxony (SUB). This library is located next to the Theological Faculty.
By consulting the Göttingen Regional Catalogue you can search simultaneously not only the libraries of the Theological Faculty and the SUB, but also the libraries of the Max Planck Institutes in Göttingen, the University of Applied Sciences and numerous other libraries of institutes in Göttingen.
In the Common Union Catalogue (GVK) you can search simultaneously the stocks of all Göttingen libraries and also those of libraries in the Common Library Network (currently the academic libraries of 7 Federal German States and other libraries).
GöDiscovery enables a *cross-datapool search*. Currently, it contains more than 200 million titles with references from libraries of the University of Göttingen and from more than 1000 other libraries as well as printed and electronic articles from publisher data and many other sources.
On the Ugarit-Portal [german] you will find the catalog of the decentralized Ugarit-Bibliothek Göttingen, which contains research contributions from Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Ugaritic Studies and Old Testament Studies.
