Cooperations of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
The Georgia Augusta is closely intertwined with an outstanding non-university research environment. This includes, in particular, the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the German Primate Centre, the German Aerospace Centre and five Max Planck Institutes. These on-site partners form a cooperative alliance of successful research and teaching activities, which, in Germany, is unique in its breadth and depth: the Göttingen Campus.
The main objectives of the University's internationalisation strategy are to prepare students for their future tasks in a globalised world and enable researchers to work collaboratively with international colleagues to address the challenges facing today’s world. Solving such issues is the reason why international partnerships are of paramount importance.
Notwithstanding its internationality, the University also acts regionally in Southern Lower Saxony, where various regional research projects are being conducted to generate research findings that are important to the region as well.
