The Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta is built upon a long tradition of excellent research and teaching. It welcomes students from different faiths and is charactarized by doing theology in a global way. International partnerships and Erasmus+ create an environment of dialogue and creativity, through which students are able to learn to think differently. Furthermore, they get prepared to lead in fields such as professional ethics, education, pastoral ministry, school leadership, interfaith dialogue, justice advocacy, spiritual companionship, and more.
The Faculty seeks to uphold high-level theological research, which is evidenced by annual public lectures, international conferences, monthly research seminars, a long list of past dissertations, as well as the Faculty’s own academic peer-reviewed journal Melita Theologica.
