Project A02
A02 Understanding and manipulating relaxation channels to tailor energy transport
Project A02 studies relaxation of optical excitations in heterostructures of strongly correlated oxides with the main focus on the energy transport across interfaces. In particular, A02 will explore the active control of energy dissipation and heat transport by applying external electric and magnetic fields as well as by temperature-driven phase transitions in thin films with intrinsic polaronic interfaces and superlattices with emergent 2D phases and tuneable interfacial magnetic coupling. In addition, the excitation intensity-driven changes of dissipation channels will be studied in collaboration with B02 and B03.
