SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in studying neurogenesis in the adult brain and how this can be translated into a therapeutic option. One of my goals as a researcher would be to identify how new neurons integrate into existing neuronal conncections and if can be replicated as a therapeutic option for neurodegenerative diseases and congenital genetic anomalies affecting the nervous system.
