Target group:
PhD students of the five faculties of the Göttingen Graduate School of Social Science/ Göttinger Graduiertenschule Gesellschaftswissenschaften (GGG).
PhD-Candidates of the Graduate School of Humanities Göttingen and members of the Schlözer-PhD-Program might participate too.

Schedule:
Two-weekend course
Friday/ Saturday:
15./16.01. and 22./23.01.2010
Fridays 17 – 20.30 hrs
Saturdays, 9.30 – 17.30 hrs

Place:
Historische Sternwarte (Tagungszentrum)
Historical Observatory (Conference Centre)

Teacher:

Seminar’s objectives:
This course presents strategies to help non-native English speakers improve their formal and oral presentation techniques in teaching, presentations and debates.
Contents: language speech planning, impromptu speeches, pronunciation
Requirements: good command of spoken English.
