ROCKET Virtual Exchange - Promoting Inclusive Intercultural Teams
"I think the role-playing sessions were very helpful to structurally analyze conflicts. Both role-playing myself and watching other people role-play helped me try out all the methods we learned in this course. With the role-playing I had a little bit of an emotional distance to the conflict and was therefore able to actually think about the methods we learned. I want to implement this in my real life as well. I the role-playing we had different characters with very different perspectives and conflict styles, which is more likely to happen in an heterogeneous team."
Nele, student in the ROCKET Virtual Exchange class of spring 2024
The course, "Promoting Inclusive Intercultural Teams - ROCKET Virtual Exchange," offers a blended learning experience focused on enhancing intercultural competence. Through Virtual-Exchange and face-to-face sessions at Goettingen University, you'll explore the dynamics of cultural diversity, communication, and inclusion within teams. Collaborating with peers from Goettingen, Groningen, and Uppsala universities, you'll engage in experiential learning, role-play scenarios, and individual assignments to foster a deeper understanding of intercultural teamwork.
The course is part of the innovative project ROCKET, which, co-funded by Erasmus+, develops Critical Virtual Exchange with Role-Playing Games and Conflict Transformation for understanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Conceived by Goettingen, Groningen, and Uppsala universities, it enhances European Higher Education and community connections.

"Before this course I thought it would be hard to connect on a personal level with our peers from New York because we were only seeing each other via Zoom but now I think that you can easily connect with people from all over the world by communicating."
Annika, student of the Virtual Exchange 2024
