Use of Revenue from Tuition Fees
Since Summer Semester 2007, all students at the Georg-August University pay tuition fees in the amount of 500 Euro per semester. Approximately €14 million more are available to the university annually for the improvement of studies and instruction. Half of this amount goes directly to the faculties. After a multistage decision process that is carried out in cooperation with students, each faculty can use this money for projects that improve studies and instruction in their faculty. The other half of the fees is used for central projects, i.e., for improvement projects that benefit students in many faculties.
