The faculty offers a list of professors with their respective research fields.

A central joint research project is the Research Training Group 2491.
There we pursue an interdisciplinary approach to the classic and powerful theory of modern Fourier analysis and spectral theory. We focus on their connections and applications to mathematical physics, topology and analytic number theory.

With the help of the female professorship program, a number of measures in the mathematics section could be implemented in Göttingen, the main aim of which is to promote young female scientists in the field.
