Application in Göttingen

The prerequisites for an application to the Joint PhD Programme in Agricultural Economics are:

• a consecutive Master- or Diploma degree (eq. 300 ECTS incl. BSc) in agriculture or relevant field of study with a grade better than 2.9 German- or 5.1 Chilean Grade.
  
  
  
• excellent English proficiency (TOEFL >79 pts)
  
  we also accept some other English-testing procedures
  
  
• a PhD research proposal
  
  
• a supervisor from the participating Departments in Talca or Göttingen who has agreed to supervise your PhD studies.
  
  How to find a supervisor?
  
  Attention: Free places for PhD applicants are limited and the number of applicants huge, so to find a supervisor it is not enough to search an e-mail address and send a round mail. This is certain to fail!!!
  
  
• two letters of recommendation
  
  
• special qualification, which will be evaluated within an interview
  
  
• a list of past scientific achievements (publications, participation in research projects)
  
  
• adequate funding for at least three years studies in Germany
  
  
• a curriculum vitae (CV) preferably in Europass-format
