Internationally recognised tests
Applicants whose mother tongue is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Applicants shall demonstrate the required English proficiency by earning the minimum required grade on an internationally recognised test. (see list below) As a rule, the last test must have been taken no more than two years prior to submission of the application for admission to the Master's degree programme (date received).
A certificate of proficiency in English must be submitted no later than 30th September (application for winter semester) and no later than 31st March (application for summer semester). An admission without this proof is not possible.
Minimum required grades on internationally recognised tests:
a) UNIcert®: at least level UNIcert® III;
b) NULTE-Zertifikate: at least level C1;
c) Cambridge English Scale: at least a score of 180 points;
d) „International English Language Testing System” (IELTS Academic): at least Band 7;
e) „Test of English as a Foreign Language, internet-based test” (TOEFL iBT): at least a score of 100 points;
f) Global Scale of English (Pearson Academic): at least a score of 76 points;
g) the successful completion of a course of study, which is taught in English as well as certified C1 level in diploma supplement according to Common European Framework of Reference.
