The application is informal, unbureaucratic and at your own discretion. Depending on your request, you have the freedom to describe your bottom-up project in a way that suits you and is meaningful to the GGG Board.
The following list provides guidance, but you need not be constrained by it:
always include: Name, institute, faculty and email address of one or more PhD students submitting the proposal.
Description of the topic and the desired form of the course or forum (e.g.: What methods are to be discussed? What expertise is available and what, if any, should be brought in from outside? How will the project benefit your doctoral or academic career prospects)?
planned schedule and rotation of the course or forum
planned number of participants and disciplines (incl. faculty) as well as list of already known expected participants (name, institute and faculty)
Indication whether the event is a closed one (only the participants they already have in mind or admit) or whether other doctoral students can join (as part of the GGG program)
List of services and financial support requested by the GGG (e.g. calculation of costs of external lecturers)
Information on how your project meets the funding requirements and, if applicable, part of the evaluation criteria

Self-designed projects according to your ideas and needs for qualification and networking among PhD students are funded. The framework is deliberately broad and unbureaucratic.
The more of these characteristics apply to your project, the greater your chance of receiving funding:
a) Funding requirements:
The applicants are enrolled doctoral students at the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences or Economics at the University of Göttingen.
The majority of the intended participants are doctoral students
There are two binding contact persons who set up and coordinate the project and act as contact persons with the GGG.
The topic is scientifically relevant (in the sense of content, methods or skills that are useful for the PhD or for professional competencies).
A statement of the qualifications of any desired external trainer or lecturer is included.
The topic, format and cost plan are comprehensible.
b) supplementary evaluation criteria that increase the chances of funding:
The topic, format and cost plan are concrete.
You have already talked about it with other PhD students and have gathered a number of interested participants..
Interdisciplinary formation of the participants: the doctoral candidates are at different chairs or faculties
International formation of the participants, if necessary multilingualism.
Comprehensible diversity and equality-oriented measures in the planning of events and formation of the group are presented.
