1. Do I meet the admission requirements?
A: Is my Bachelor’s degree eligible for admission?
For admission to the M.Sc. Crop Protection, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences, biology or a related discipline from an accredited university. The Bachelor’s degree must usually comprise at least six semesters (or 3 years) and 180 ECTS credits. Your degree is considered relevant if you have completed sufficient coursework in plant sciences and crop protection-related subjects.

B:Is there a fixed minimum grade for admission?
Admission is competitive and based on the overall quality of the application. The grade point average is an important selection criterion, but the final admission decision also depends on the number and quality of applications received in the respective application round.
C: Can I apply if I have not completed my Bachelor’s degree yet?
Non-EU/Non-EEA applicants: You must have completed your Bachelor’s degree at the time of application and must provide the final Bachelor’s certificate and transcript.
EU/EEA applicants: You may apply if you can provide proof of at least 150 ECTS credits. The final Bachelor’s certificate must be submitted as soon as possible and no later than 15 November of the year of admission.

No. A confirmation letter from a university stating that previous studies were taught in English is not sufficient as proof of English language proficiency.
C: Who is exempt from providing an English language certificate?
Applicants whose first language is English may be exempt from providing an English language certificate if their country is included in the list of English-speaking countries accepted for this purpose. Yes. If you have already started or completed a Master’s degree programme, you must provide this information in the Master Declaration Form. You should also upload the corresponding transcripts and degree certificates, if applicable.
D: What should I include in the letter of motivation?
Your letter of motivation should briefly explain why you are applying for the M.Sc. Crop Protection, how your academic background relates to the programme and how the programme fits your academic or professional goals. The letter should be concise and should not exceed one page.

C: Do I need proof of financial resources for the visa process?
Applicants from outside the EU may need a visa to study in Germany. In many cases, visa authorities require proof of sufficient financial resources for at least one year of study.
