Costa Rica
Costa Rica is known for its progressive environmental policies and its nationwide approach to conservation. It has more biodiversity per square metre than any other country in the world. The education system and health care are also widely recognised as examples of success. The German Foreign Office describes the country as an “anchor of stability” in Central America, where human rights and freedom of the press and opinion are respected. Our partner university, the Universidad de Costa Rica, is located in the capital San José.
