Diversity oriented counseling
The GGG's counselling services are interdisciplinary, flexible and both target group-oriented and intersectional. The GGG's counselling services are tailored to the respective target group in the sense of a "door opener", such as the Counselling for (prospective) female doctoral candidates, the counselling of first-generation doctoral candidates through "Building bridges for PhD students" or the counselling for international doctoral students located at the "Helpdesk".
Through staff cooperation in counselling, the GGG ensures that you as a doctoral student are welcomed and competently advised by keeping in mind the intersectional effectiveness of differences and commonalities. This is also done through overarching offers such as advice on financial and extracurricular issues related to the doctoral process, which in practice are strongly demanded by doctoral researchers who are less privileged due to the interaction of several diversity dimensions.
The GGG offers a wide range of extra-curricular counselling services.
The counsellors in the GGG work in close exchange with each other. To this end, the team members not only have expertise in their respective fields but also basic knowledge in the other subject areas. If necessary, reference is made to the other advisors and, if desired, joint advice is given.
In questions of supervision and good scientific practice, you as a doctoral student or supervisor also have the option of contacting the confidants of your faculty.
