Summer semester 2026: Proseminar Medical Law

In the summer semester of 2026, Dr. Daniel Brauer will offer a proseminar on medical law. This seminar is aimed at all law students preparing for the first state examination in law who wish to complete a preparatory assignment, as well as all students in BA, MA, and LLM programs. The seminar provides all participants with the opportunity to practice writing seminar papers and academic papers, as well as giving oral presentations.

Time and Location:
The preliminary meeting and topic assignment will take place in the Procedural Law Library (JUR 1.123) on April 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (sharp).

Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all participants. Please also confirm your attendance at the preliminary meeting by April 8, 2026, by contacting Mr. Kampmann (clemens.kampmann@jura.uni-goettingen.de). The pro-seminar paper is to be completed between April 20, 2026, and June 2, 2026 (12:00 noon). The oral presentation of the pro-seminar papers will (tentatively) take place on July 9, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. sharp in the Procedural Law Library (JUR 1.123). If necessary, the event will be extended to July 10, 2026.

Winter semester 2025/2026: Medizinrecht II: Schwerpunkt Zivilrecht

In the winter semester 2025/2026, Dr Daniel Brauer will offer a lecture on Medical Law II. The course is part of the specialisation area (§ 4a (1) sentence 2 NJG) in specialisation areas 3 (civil law and civil justice) and 8 (medical law) and is a compulsory elective module or elective module for Bachelor's/Master's degree programmes (according to the module catalogue of the respective degree programme).

Time and place:
The event will take place as a block event in the Procedural Law Library (JUR 1.123) all day (starting at 8:15 a.m.) on 6 November 2025, 7 November 2025 and 30 January 2026.
As part of the event, you will have the opportunity to complete a preparatory assignment in accordance with § 4a (3) sentence 1 NJAG. Please inform Ms Ghabel (see below) of your interest in completing such an assignment by 24 October 2025. The assignment will be issued on 7 November 2025. The processing period ends on 19 December 2025 (12:00 noon). Participation in the lecture is a mandatory requirement for completing the preparatory assignment.
For students in Bachelor's/Master's programmes, an oral examination will be offered at the end of the course if the need arises on 7 November 2025 during the lecture.
