In publica commoda

Friedrich Ebert Foundation (self-portrayal)

For us, personal and professional commitment to the common good ranks as a paramount ideal. That is why we give high merits to scholarship applicants who show above-average performance in the academic, political and/or social arenas. The applicant’s personality also counts in the selection process.

Our selection is not made dependent upon membership in any party. Nevertheless, sound knowledge about politics as well as a belief in the basic principles of social democracy are expected.

When short-listing applications and setting the amount of the scholarship grant, children from low-income families will be given special consideration.

The Friedrich-Ebert-foundation is currently funding around 1,700 students and doctoral candidates.
