Graduate Schools in Göttingen
All doctoral candidates at the University of Göttingen are member of a graduate school. The four graduate schools are tailored to the respective cultures and needs of
- Natural Sciences and Mathematics (GAUSS),
- Social Sciences (GGG),
- Humanities (GSGG), and
- Agricultural and Forest Science (GFA).
The schools cooperate closely as Göttingen Interdisciplinary Graduate Schools (GIGS).
The main objective across all four graduate schools is to optimize research and learning conditions for doctoral candidates, whilst fostering the development of the next generation of research scientists and scholars in scientific networks.
