Moeck has experience in both, convection and conduction dominated geothermal plays. However, her major research interest in reservoir genesis in low-enthalpy geosystems. She leads numerous national geothermal research projects, and she has been key researcher in a number of international geothermal projects in western USA, Indonesia, and Canada. Her technical expertise is in seismic interpretation, 3D geological model building, crustal stress determination, rock mechanics, wellbore integrity analysis, and geothermal technology. Her research focus is on the hydraulic-geomechanical characterisation of reactivated faults, geothermal play type analysis, multi-scale reservoir characterisation, investigation of permeability variations in heterogeneous reservoirs and its effects on heat transport in brittle crust.
