Talk: "Battleground UP 2012: Ethnographic observations on Indian elections"

Rajan Pandey and Manish Tiwari from Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi) talked about the electoral politics of Uttar Pradesh. Through a unique ethnographic study of the 2012 elections, Pandey and Tiwari uncovered the ways in which politics is maneuvered, campaigns are run and elections are managed in the largest democracy in the world, narrating these elections as they transpired and were witnessed in remotest corners of Uttar Pradesh.
