Klekot, Dr. Ewa

Dr. Ewa Klekot graduated in Archaeology and Ethnology from University of Warsaw and received a doctoral degree in Art Studies by the same university in 2002. For over twenty years, Dr. Klekot has been teaching at the University of Warsaw, mostly at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology. Since 2011, she has also been collaborating with the School of Form design college (University SWPS), where she developed the programme of Anthropology in Design.
Dr. Klekot has been collaborating with several museums, since 2013 serving as head of the Museum Council of the Ethnographic Museum in Kraków. In 2015-2018, she was a member of the team preparing the new core exhibition in the Museum of Warsaw (inaugurated in June 2018), both as a co-curator and the co-author of its textual information structure.

Dr. Klekot’s main research interests focus on material culture and anthropology of making, heritage studies, and anthropology of art. As a DAAD guest lecturer at the Institut für Kulturanthropologie/Europäische Ethnologie of Göttingen University she is teaching classes on heritage, museum and bodily knowledge.
