Metabolomics & Lipidomics
The metabolome as the complement of all small molecules of a cell, tissue or organism shows the closest connection to the phenotype. It provides therefore the most valuable and direct level of information in a living organism.
The platform provides a comprehensive infrastructure for the analysis of metabolites and lipids. It connects targeted and non-targeted methods to describe the cell´s content of small molecules. Metabolite analyses help to elucidate the function of small molecules or entire pathways in respect to adaption processes to genetic and/or environmental disturbances and as prerequisite for growth and development.
