Technically, GAIA draws on the latest approaches such as knowledge tracing and generative AI. The pedagogical integration of GAIA into various teaching-learning formats then allows the potential of AI to be used specifically for learner-centered didactics. GAIA offers a continuous flow of data that allows teachers and advisors to gain valuable insights into learning processes on an anonymous level in order to respond optimally to students' needs.

The project, under the aegis of the Vice-President for Teaching and Learning, is initially scheduled to run for four years. During this time, GAIA will lay the foundations for a flexible, data-driven teaching architecture that sets forward-looking standards for didactic innovations in university teaching.

The project focuses primarily on courses offered by our chair, including Grundlagen der Digitalisierung und Digitalen Transformation.
