BEST Exchange - A Model Project Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)BEST Exchange offers student teachers at the University of Göttingen and our partner universities many different opportunities for international exchange on current topics in the context of teaching and schools.
BEST Exchange Summer School
Between 2021 and 2024, annual summer schools on current topics of teacher education take place in Göttingen, in which student teachers and teacher trainers from Göttingen and the 4 partner universities can participate.
2021 Virtual Exchange
The 1st BEST Exchange Summer School took place online from 07.-20.08.2021 due to Corona. The participants received input from international experts on the topic of virtual exchange for school lessons and worked on their own exchange project in international teams.

2022 Education for Sustainable Development
The 2nd BEST Exchange Summer School took place from 02.-14.07.2021. Student teachers from all partner universities were invited to come to Göttingen to learn more about ESD from experts from research and practice and to work on their own project in international teams.
2023 Digital Competences for Future Teachers
The 3rd BEST Exchange Summer School took place from 05.-18.08.2023. 15 student teachers from the European partner universities came to Göttingen to discuss the digital demands on teachers today.
2024 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Teacher Education
The fourth BEST Exchange Summer School will take place in Göttingen from August 10 to 21, 2024. In its final iteration, the event is dedicated to enabling inclusive, equitable and diverse teaching-learning opportunities. The event is open to all student teachers in Göttingen as well as guests from our partner universities in Brazil, Estonia, Ireland and Sweden.
