    GSGG Day
    The GSGG Day consists of the "Geisteswissenschaftlichen Einblicke", during which PhD students give short talks and present posters explaining what particularly fascinates them about their research, the questions they are exploring, and the perhaps surprising answers they have already found. This will be followed by a ceremonial event at which the Christian-Gottlob-Heyne Award, worth €2,500, will be awarded for the best humanities doctoral thesis of the past year. The winner and the nominees for the Christian-Gottlob-Heyne Prize can be found here.

    Information Session: How to Finance Your PhD
    Date: Thursday, 19 November 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
    Location: Room VG 4.107, Platz der Göttinger Sieben 7, 37073 Göttingen

  • Travels financially supported by us

    At the end of August 2026, Macarena Agüero Bustamante attended the conference ‘Interactional Competences and Practices in a Second Language’ in Newcastle. There, she presented her poster entitled ‘Managing Disruptions: A Learning Opportunity in the L2 Classroom’.

    Haifeng Weng took part in the Academic Summer School organised by the National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies from late June to early July 2026 and gave a presentation on "The Temporality in Liu Yizheng’s Philosophy of History". The event took place at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

    In June 2026, Mohan Ding took part in the ‘Poetry’s Environments’ conference. It was held at the campus of the University of Leeds.
