Centre for European, Governance and Economic Development Research (cege)

The Centre for European, Governance and Economic Development Research (cege) was founded in 1999 by the Faculty of Economics with an interdisciplinary focus. Members of cege stem from different areas of economic research such as pure Economics, Business Administration, Economic History, Agricultural Economics and Law. The cege allows for an interdisciplinary linkage of all research carried out at the different chairs of economics. Research covers topics such as Economic Interdependencies on European and international level, economic incentives and development processes in emerging countries.
Ibero-America-Institute for Economic Research (IAI)

The IAI was founded in 1964. The institute is integrated into the Faculty of Economics and contributes to the universities unique research focus on development economics. Aside from its research contributions IAI staff is dedicated to teaching in the area of development and international economics.
Institute for SMEs and the skilled crafts at the University of Göttingen -ifh

The ifh understands itself as a provider of economic research for small and medium sized enterprises. Results are published on a regulary basis in the form of publications and evaluations. Research is usually carried out in such a way that it allows for a symbioses between theory and practical issues. Results published by the ifH thus provide guidance to small and enterprises byresponding to real world issues faced by these companies.
The institute was founded in 1953. It is one of six research institutes which form part of Deutsches Handwerksinstitut e.V. (DHI).
