Scientific activity within the framework of the "Borchert Commission

Prof. Dr. José Martínez is part of the Competence Network Farm Animal Husbandry, also known as the "Borchert Commission". The competence network supports the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in implementing the goal formulated in 2017 to noticeably improve animal welfare in livestock farming and to significantly reduce the negative effects on the environment. To this end, the competence network makes it one of its tasks to develop ideas and concepts for the further development and implementation of the livestock strategy and to propose them to the BMEL.
